Be Sure to Take the Red Eye To Milford’s Newest Coffee Shop

Red Eye Coffee Co opened their doors on Friday, April 17th, 2026, and I fear that I’ve gotten a drink from them at least three times in the first four days that they’ve opened. Yup, they are that good.

Red Eye Coffee Co is the newest coffee shop in the downtown Milford area. They are located right before you hit the train station and the Milford Green, and are in the same plaza as the newer Metro Star apartments and the Amae Collective boutique. This location is super prime and easy to get in and out of, because you can easily park and just go on your way without having to hit the downtown traffic. It is also is a great place to hang out while waiting for your train, which is something that is key if the weather is bad and you don’t want to stand outside.

For me, that’s a win in of itself.

This is such a cozy and comfy coffee shop. It’s a place that is perfect for for getting work done in peace, meeting a friend, or even just curling up with a book and a coffee (my dream).

Now, let’s talk about the coffee, because that’s the best part of this shop. They have the standard coffee shop options, hot or iced coffee and lattes, chai, mocha, and so much more. And if you don’t drink coffee, they have a ton of tea options to chose from as well.

However, there are two items that have stood out for me: the s’mores latte and the Nutella latte. Both of those are out of this world. The experience of the s’mores latte is so unique: they gently toast the tiny marshmallows on top of the latte, there is chocolate throughout the beverage not just the top or the bottom, and there is a thick coat of marshmallow. The Nutella latte is also so good as well. There is a thick layer of rich Nutella on the bottom of the beverage and the flavor of the hazelnut infiltrates throughout the consumption of the entire thing.

In addition to their amazing beverages, they do have food offerings as well, such as avocado toast, bacon, egg, and cheese, and sandwiches. They also have a great baked goods selection: cookies, croissants, donuts, scones, and more. I had tried their chocolate covered croissant donut, and the dough, while thick, was absolutely exquisite. My mouth is just watering just as I’m thinking about that donut. The chocolate melted in my mouth, while the dough was like little fluffy clouds that wrapped around each and every bite.

So far, I am so impressed with this newest addition to the Downtown Milford Community, and I can’t wait to become a regular at their shop. I mean, I may be considered that already since I’ve been there three out of four days that they’ve opened but that’s beside the point.
