When driving to Scratch Bakery on Sunday, I was greeted by scarecrows in the downtown Milford area. And there wasn’t just one scarecrow or not just one type of scarecrows. They varied from fall themed to spooky to beloved Disney characters.
After getting home from the bakery, I decided to do some research. Turns out these scarecrows are the product of the first annual Scarecrow fest. The event, which is presented by the Downtown Milford Business Association, is the first. According to the Downtown Milford Business Association page entitled First Annual Scarecrow Fest, it invited families and business to make their own scarecrows. Very cool!
The scarecrows, according to the post, will be showcased until the end of October. So, definitely take a trip down to check it out! Be sure to keep scrolling to check out some of the photos taken yesterday of some of the fun scarecrows. Trust me, there are some good ones!
What a fun way to get in the seasonal spirit, inviting families to make scarecrows in the town! Thanks for sharing these.

Thank you for this post. I am the creator of the Maleficent and Ursula scarecrows. There’s more to our story. My father, Rusty Antalik, was the painter for the City of Milford for many, many years. He was sort of a celebrity in town. He was a huge Disney fan, and even had a Mickey icon designed on his work van. Everyone knew and loved Rusty. These scarecrows are presented in his honor and sit across from his memorial bench across from the gazebo.

A few months ago my little town made loads of scarecrows and put them on display. It was a lot of fun seeing them all but the spooky one’s with you look so much better. x

The scarecrows are awesome. I wish we could do something like that around here. I did take part in a record breaking scarecrow event once, it was so much fun making a scarecrow with my kids, but all the materials were provided for us.

My daughters are the ones that made the one in front of Colony Grill. My oldest is autistic so she put the autism awareness shirt on it and my youngest is Type 1 diabetic so she put an insulin pump on it as well! They worked really hard and it looks great!
