Is Marc Jacobs The Beauty Bag Worth It?

For me, it’s important to have a piece in my wardrobe that can be used in multiple different ways and situations. That piece has been the Beauty Bag by Marc Jacobs.

The Beauty Bag is made in a similar design as the brand’s famous tote bag; however, instead of it saying the Tote Bag, it says the Beauty Bag. For $95, it comes in all leather with a cloth lining, and has an all leather exterior. Furthermore, it has a little wristlet strap that you can slip on your arm.

What I really love about this is that they have a huge variety of colors. Of course, they have the classic brown and black colors. But they also have the gorgeous pink, lilac, and red.

I recently added three of these to my collection, and I’m so happy that I did. I’ve been using it almost everyday since I got it. I’ve used it as a wristlet and as a catch all pouch in my bag. I got mine in black, Aragon oil (which is such a gorgeous brown), and the lilac for a pop of color.

I am obsessed.

And in both situations that I’ve mentioned, it holds a lot.

When I use it as a wristlet, I’m able to hold a card case, car keys, my phone, sanitizer, and lip balm. When I use it as a daily pouch, I’m able to put lip balms, hand lotion, AirPods, and all of the little bits and bobs that would normally be floating around my purse. That being said, it fits in quite a bit of my purses, as I was able to slip it in my Longchamp and my Marc Jacobs tote bag without any issues. I can see this fitting in a majority of my purses, however it may be a little too large to fit in my smaller bags. With that being said, it makes it so easy to switch my bags because all I do is take this out and plop it into the new bag.

And those are two of the ways that I’ve used it. I can see it also becoming my go-to when I travel, a place to hold crochet needles, and a clutch — just to name a few.

I have been enjoying this bag and I highly recommend adding this piece, because of all of the ways that you can use it. That is what makes it worth it for me, if I’m being honest, because the cost per wear goes down so low that it’s pennies.

This bag is both useful and fun — and something I will continue to reach for for years to come.
